Verklaring Hennie:

Van het CD-single “In Fortune's Hand” van Clannad het nummer “An Mhaighdean Mhara" gezongen door Máire Uí Bhraonáin (Brennan) uit 1990.

Omstreeks die tijd was ik fan van vooral de Ierse muziek (in de vorige eeuw) met als voorkeur Clannad en hun zusje Enya. In een toen krankzinnig drukke periode op mijn werk en daarnaast te veel avondactiviteiten zoals volleybal, landelijk scheidsrechter en ook nog trainer, zocht ik de rust in het mystieke gebeuren van de Ierse muziek.

Bij dit lied (grijs gedraaid) kon ik even de werkelijkheid ontvluchten en vond ik de rust die ik kennelijk nodig had. Ik heb geen idee wat ze zingt, maar ik vind het nog steeds prachtig.
